I'll warn you now that there will probably be a lot on this blog about Gabe. I only work part time and the rest of the day is spent with him so that is really all I have to talk about. So, I'm sharing today his cute little nuances. All the mothers out there will probably agree that they love to hear their babies say "mama". Well, for some reason Gabe refuses to call me that. No Ma, mama, or even mommy. No, I'm Da. When Eric walks in the door there is a big smile and Gabe points at him and says loud and clear "DA!!" I do get a big smile when I get home but no Mama! We even ask him "Where's dad?" and he points to Eric. Where's Gabe? points to himself. Where's Mama? Big smile and points to Eric and says, "Da" He's capable of saying Mama. He always says it when he's whiny and crying. At first I thought that maybe he wasn't that smart but he gets this big mischevious smile when he looks at me and says, "Hi da" I think he is doing it because he knows it drives me crazy! He seems way too proud of himself. I thought I had a few years before the rebellion started.
Being a teacher, I have really wanted Gabe to be interested in books. Since he was an infant we've been reading to him. Usually it is more fun for him to throw them than sit still and look at one. Well, that has definitely changed. He has entered the stage where he wants to be read to over and over and over again. And usually it is the same book again and again. I am so sick of "Inside, Outside, Upside Down." I got home last night and Eric shows me where he had a big pile of books that he hid so that Gabe would stop sticking them in his face to be read. What is really sad is that I then showed Eric behind the couch pillow where earlier in the day I had hid some as well. Be careful what you wish for!

Thats to cute. We have Ed's hidden too. Only because he tears them apart. Gosh I talk to you more on here then I do any other way. I like it though because now I don't have to rely on Eric and Tony to get the info. Okay, I am off to nap.
So funny! This is going to be so fun!
AWWWW!!! That is so cute! My two babies tear their books apart as well. Stinkers!!
Okay, you Jen can't make me cry all the time. But I really love being on here and talking with you guys.
"Inside, Outside, Upside down" - Is that a Boynton book? I remember those books. They were my kids' favorites, although it's been over a decade since that was true. In fact, I think I have several of those in my pile in the basement classified as "not ready to donate quite yet, although I have no idea why I need to save much less store this many books in my basement for the new 10 years". Such a dilemna. So many books, so little space.
Love your blog! Great to "see" and "hear from you" - electronically speaking.
