blog vacation

Sorry for not posting anything in a while. I've been so tired! I don't remember ever being this tired in my life. This pregnancy is definitely different. I'm already not fitting into my pants, I take at least one nap a day, and my body is just wore out. The thought of giving Gabe a bath or doing any other chore just seems overwhelming. I feel so guilty because our house badly needs cleaning. Eric does as much as he can, but he is also working and really busy right now with that. Each morning I wake up and decide I'm going to get a bunch of stuff done but then after doing one thing I feel sick and need to sit down for a while or take a nap. Isn't that pathetic! My poor flowers are all dying from needing watering and being invaded by weeds. I did water this morning finally and then it decided to rain. It wasn't a big rain though so I'm still glad I did it. Sorry this is a depressing blog. I just don't have much to write about. Nothing too big happened this week. How can it when all you do is take naps!! Gabe stayed the night with Eric's folks again Fri. night because we needed babysitters for both Fri. and Sat. morning so might as well make it a sleep over! He came back crazy! He was like aggressive and seemed mad or frustrated. He kept clenching his teeth and throwing little tantrums. I think he was just tired from all the excitement. He's normal today after getting a good night's sleep. Does this happen to anyone elses kids? I don't think they gave him sugar or anything but man he was crazy!

Both my kids adore their grandparents and love going to their houses for overnights (or longer). I do remember, though, that they would sometimes come home and seem almost angry at us for having left them. They would test the boundries all over again. They would also be really tired; probably from a combination between a change in routine and sleeping in a different bed and house (new sounds and schedules). I remember picking them up at their grandparents and being so excited to see them, only to have them go manic on us when we arrived (the grandparents said they had not acted like that while they were there). My kids also did this sometimes when a teen babysitter arrived. Fortunately (for all of us), they outgrew it when they got older, more verbal, and required less sleep. Hang in there. This stage, too, shall pass. And keep using the grandparents (we still do and they're both teenagers!). It's good for everyone and I'm not sure who enjoys it more; the kids, the grandparents, or us. What a great win-win position to be in!

It's so weird for me to picture Courtney and Caleb as teenagers! How does Courtney like High School? I bet she has grown up so much.
I do think it was being overtired. After a good night's sleep in his own bed he was back to him normal self.

Sadie is always extremely hyper when we pick her up from Rhonda and Gary's. :)
