Home Improvement

Can I just tell you how many projects we have started in our house right now that are not finished? Well, there are the kitchen cabinets that are still missing some doors and need some touch up paint, the kitchen sink which is leaking, the backsplash that is not even started, the kitchen walls have splotches of spackle and paint colors from when we didn't know what color to use, a half painted wall in the living room, and today we started painting the family room that is now vacant since my brother left. We have the babies room cleaned out but have not started on that yet.(Thank God) The problem is that I am not a lot of help. I usually love doing that kind of stuff and don't mind painting but I am so not feeling it right now. Eric has had to do all the painting. He isn't the most detail oriented person and doesn't want to do the trim. I understand and agree with his decision but now I'm so big that it is hard for me to get down on the ground and up again to do trim. So we have walls that are painted except for the trim. It's hard too because Gabe wants to be in the middle of everything so it can only be worked on when we are both home and one of us can take care of him. We are also waiting on other people for some of it (cabinet doors to be ordered) After Thanksgiving though Eric is taking a vacation and we will have everything done! I've already enlisted his mother either for babysitting or helping with the painting. (She loves that kind of stuff and is really good at it).
The sad thing is that I don't even notice it anymore. Every once in a while I look at it as others might and I laugh because it must look crazy! We have legit reasons of course but it still doesn't change the multi-colored walls in our living room and exposed dishes in the cabinets. I just need a crew of people to come in, move all the furniture out of the way, paint and install everything in a day, and put everything back nice and pretty. I guess that only happens in HGTV land though.

:) I could handle it until I started pmsing. You should see all the spots in my carpet. There are about 20 between Sadie puking (she even got the couch last weekend) and Rocky peeing.
The other night I went to bed with the closet doors open and thought of you! Do you remember that?

That's so funny. The other day I was trying to remember what it was that you did that bugged me. I know I left the closet doors open (and still do).

Man you guys do have quite the projects going on. Well, if you still need help when we get there for Christmas Tony will be glad to help just not detailed painting he isn't good. I would love to help out too. Well, if it makes you feel any better our bathroom has holes in it where they drilled to let the water drain out from the leaky tub up stairs.

I have paint for our bathroom that has been sitting under the sink for the last 6 months...and absolutely no motivation!
